To fully integrate UAS in SAR operations requires a skilled flight team and team organization. Just as a climb team requires highly specific skills and multiple personnel, a UAS team should have skilled remote pilots and support personnel. This course is designed to help existing SAR UAS teams expand their capabilities or to inform teams that are considering SAR UAS what the full capabilities can be of a UAS asset. Topics include advanced search techniques, SOPs, multiple aircraft sharing the airspace, legal jurisdiction issues, specialized scenarios, and live data sharing with your AHJ and/or incident command.
