Search Planning

This one day class covers initial actions in search management. The day begins with a short lecture and then moves to a hands on case study where participants manage all aspects of the first day of a SAR mission. The afternoon section includes a hands-on class which teaches a search planning process built around the Planning P and the use of GPS tracks. The class also teaches other tricks of the trade such as identifying viable landing zones and integrating cell phone forensics into search planning.
