Pre-Event Course:

Highline Versus Crosshaul

Price

$420

Duration

3 Days

About the Course

This hands-on, three day workshop offered by Wyoming’s Peak Rescue will challenge attendees to build both a highline and a crosshaul over the bay to determine the pros and cons for each system. Among the questions to be discussed: do highlines create higher or lower forces on the anchors than crosshauls? Are highlines more gear intensive than crosshauls? What are the best applications for each? We’ll look for answers to these and many other questions while safely executing several setups and whiteboarding each one over the course of three days. The results of our findings will then be presented during a 30 minute presentation during the MRA Conference. Students should bring their own snacks and lunches, water will be available on site.
