Technical Rope Rescue

One of the emphasis areas for this year’s conference, Technical Rope Rescue will feature a variety of subjects relating to technical rope rescue, including but not limited to: small team mountain movement and rescue systems; edge solutions; rescue operations on sloping terrain and much more.

Comparing & Contrasting Highlines and Crosshauls

This one hour presentation will dissect the observations and data mined from multiple load monitors during the Peak Rescue MRA pre conference workshop, "Highlines versus Crosshauls".

Cliffside Access and Rescue

An overview of how to effectively lead a rope rescue operation in a no injury scenario

Multi Point Anchor

This class will teach how to effectively build multi point anchors

Steep Angle Rescues Using Small Diameter Ropes

This class will be performing three person litter carries in a steep angle environment using 9.5mm ropes.

Micro Blasting

This class will teach break rock using mechanical and other means to make rescue possible. Will include a live demo, if possible

Team-Based Pick Offs

Get hands-on training expediently accessing, securing, and recovering a stranded person utilizing a team based approach with CMC Rescue's Justin Wheaton.

Effective Leadership in Rope Rescue Operations

Learn how to effectively lead a rope rescue operation. Presented by CMC Rescue.

Harken’s Guiding Lines with AHDs, Winches and Span Anchors

This class will cover multiple tech rescue concepts and will put them together to form a guiding line.

Patient Packaging and Litter Wheel Option for Carryout

This class will explore patient packing for litter extrication.

A series of real life case studies relating to technical rope rescues.

Short Pitching and Short Roping in a SAR context

This class will teach short roping and short pitching techniques that can be efficiently utilized to help navigate people out of complicated terrain problems.
