This class is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about using K9's in the Mountain Environment and how understanding how they can help with overall search operations. This course will discuss what dogs can do, how a mountain environment is different from the wilderness environment and how to handle the safety first aspect.
It will also touch on Area/Wilderness, Trailing and Cadaver and the how the information can be used for the different scenarios. Handlers will share real search experience they have had in the field; this presentation has been created with over over 20 years in responding to Wilderness and Mountain Terrain with Search Dogs.
